Fitness Tests

Fitness tests are used to assess and monitor changes in fitness with training and as an indicator of effort in an exercise program. There are many fitness tests that are grouped under the categories of aerobic, body composition, balance, strength, endurance, flexibility, agility, sports specific, general fitness tests and a full list.

Monitoring changes in fitness levels helps with keeping motivation as you see your body improve. It shows you what your body could achieve prior to beginning a program and after training. Fitness tests give you goals in which to strive to achieve. Most of all they identify areas of your fitness in which further training should be focused.

We recommend reassessing your fitness through one of our tests at least every 4-6 weeks. This is an appropriate amount of time to significantly change your fitness. The increase in fitness acts as a motivating factor to continue with the exercise program as the tests illustrate.
